Taking a quick break from my copy edits today. For those who don't know, copy edits are the part of the publishing process where a line editor goes through the manuscript making sure there aren't any grammatical errors, typos, inconsistencies in the storyline (although most of those, if any, should have been caught in the revision process) and adding formatting instructions for typesetting. It's also an author's last chance to make changes. Usually you get about a month to look over the copyedits. I have less than a week, but that's because the release date of Dark Temptation has been pushed up to November, so that sped up the whole process. So I should be cross-eyed by Monday.
